Nate A. Munene is fourteen-years old and in eighth grade. He wasn’t expected to survive at birth; he then, wasn’t expected to grow or learn. Miraculously; along with medical help, he has endured about twenty brain surgeries among other battles and is thriving. He aspires to share his testimony; inspire other children struggling and parents.
“These are the reflections of a young boy about his life with a significant medical condition… You are impressed by all the joy there is in his life. Nate wants his story to be an inspiration for other children struggling with their own adversity, to show that a life with adversity can still be a very good one.”
By Dr. Breningstall Galen, Neurologist
“…Instead of becoming sullen, or challenging authority like most teenagers, Nate has a vision for his future. He wants to help others. He wants to share his spiritual gifts. He wants to grow to be a good person. He wants to be an inspiration to those around him. Well, I have news for you, Nate- you already are.”
By Dr. Katherine C. Nickels, M.D. Child and Adolescent Neurologist.
“… This book allows so many more people to “meet” him and learn from him. It also helps other children to know they are not alone in their struggles and it is possible to find joy despite these struggles. Thank you, Nate, for your inspirational spirit, story, and advice.
By Dr. Anna Milz, M.D. M.P.H., Pediatrician.
